The Cleansing Process…

Counseling with LoveFire

At LoveFire Counseling, we get it. Life is not as peachy and perfect as everyone’s social media feeds would have you believe. The reality is, life is messy! The frustrations and the struggle is real. Your significant other may very well be dropping the ball with every pass you send their way or your kids may be making you want to literally pull out your eyeballs! And they may think the same about you. Emotions flare, feelings get hurt, and we may want to demand justice for the wrongs committed against us! Well, by George, that’s okay!

Emotions are good. Expression is good. And sometimes, it takes speaking up in a way that might just ruffle the other person’s feathers. Because sometimes, that’s exactly what needs to happen before the wagon train runs off a cliff.

BUT, how you approach those necessary come-to-Jesus meetings can make all the difference in the health of your relationship.

Which is why communication is at the very core of our methods.

And if your wagon train has already run off the cliff, just know that there is still hope to pick up the pieces and make it to the promised land. It takes work. It’s not easy. But digging into all the juicy goodness that brought you to this place is half the fun! And doing it with those who love and support you will be a journey all on its own. One that can unify or possibly even require new boundaries, but ultimately lead to a deeper understanding of yourself and others.

And if so, is it worth fighting for?

For Couples

LoveFire provides Couples Therapy, Pre-marital Counseling, Marriage Counseling, Marriage Restoration, and Relationship Intervention.

For couples, we also offer a marriage restoration program both online and in person. The goal of this six week program is to re-establish healthy communication lines and allow couples to begin the restoration process after a breach of trust or disconnection has occurred, for whichever variety of reasons. Each session covers a specific topic, but also allows the couple to reflect and share details concerning their unique situation.

Some of the topics couples commonly face who have benefited from this course include, but are not limited to:

  • Emotional and Physical Affairs

  • Addiction (Substance Abuse, Pornography, Gossip, etc.)

  • Depression and Anxiety

  • Financial Struggles

  • Abusive Behaviors (Physical, Emotional, Sexual, Verbal)

  • PTSD and Trauma-Related Stresses

  • EMDR for Sexual or Emotional Trauma

  • Parental Disagreements

  • Grief and Loss

  • Sexual Issues and Disappointments

  • Significant Life Changes and Adjustments

  • Separation and Divorce

Oftentimes, there are significant unresolved issues in a marriage that are completely stealing from the vitality of the relationship, and the individuals’ social, emotional, physical, and psychological health. The threats, fights, and instability that this often causes can be devastating. At LoveFire Counseling have designed each week to directly address the foundational structures that prevent growth and fulfillment in the relationship, in order to replace the negative cycles with lasting and nourishing patterns of peaceful engagements.

For Individuals

After encountering brokenness, failed expectations, or life disappointments, we sometimes find ourselves lost. Not knowing what direction to take, who we should talk with, or even how to begin processing our own thoughts. Counseling is imperative for individuals in transition. Sometimes it feels lonely and dark, and we just need a voice of truth, or an inner guide to lead us through the shadows, and to a place where we can stand and dream again. Relationships that don’t turn out the way we had hoped can leave us feeling empty, vulnerable, and confused.

Maybe you are married to a spouse who isn’t “ready to go to counseling”. Sometimes a significant other needs to see the positive change in you before they decide to jump on board. If that’s you, our mission is to see your marriage succeed or to support you in making the necessary life changes to remove toxicity from your life.

You may be wanting to explore roots of anxiety, depression, anger, and life stressors. You may have PTSD from things you have witnessed or personal undergone. You may have been abused or made some disturbing life choices that you want to work through.

LoveFire provides adult clients with restoration and healing via EMDR, KAP, EFT, DBT, CBT, Solution-focused, Positive Psychology, Sand tray, other relational intervention modalities to promote change and growth. We specialize in Depression and Anxiety Disorders, PTSD, Trauma, Sexual Abuse, Sexual Addictions and Dysfunctions, Partner Betrayal, Domestic, and Family Violence, Anger, Grief and Loss, Chronic Pain, Relationship Issues, Parent-Child Conflict, Job Dissatisfaction, and Career Counseling. LoveFire serves all genders, races, religions, and sexual orientations.
